Time certainly is flying by lately.  Isabella is almost a month old already!!  She arrived safe and sound on April 3rd, weighing 6 lbs 11 oz and she was 19 1/2 in long.  I was in labor for a little over 10 hours, but only the last couple of hours were miserable.  I had only 2 doses of pain meds (although it didn't seem to help much).  I was able to talk through the contractions until around 3:15pm, when I decided I'd try something for pain.  Things really sped up after that and when I finally decided I wanted an epidural, they checked me and discovered it was too late.... I was fully dilated and ready to push.  I really didn't have to push for long and she was born at 4:59pm.  Her delivery went so well... I didn't tear or need an episiotomy.  I felt pretty good when we got home also. 

 

  Isabella is finally starting to sleep for more than an hour at a time.  Last night, we were both able to sleep.  I actually woke up feeling refreshed for the first time since we've been home.  She's a total sweet pea and is awesome for the most part.  She does have an occassional night when she's fussy for a few hours, but usually she's pretty content.  She's been staying awake for longer periods of time and is sooo alert when she's up.

 

  Dez and Jace are adjusting pretty well.  Dez loves having a little sister and spends a lot of time holding her and talking to her.  Jace is still just interested in watching her, which is fine becuz Julian is so overprotective he probably wouldn't feel comfortable with Jace holding her anyways.

 

  We have a bridging ceremony to attend; Dezirae will officially be a Girl Scout Cadet after today.  I have only one week of classes left, then I am done for summer vacation.  Better get going.... just wanted to give ya a quick update.   I will try to post more regularly once things settle down and we've established a routine.

  I'm starting to get nervous!  We have to be at the hospital at 5:30 in the morning to be induced.  Everything is all set up and ready to go... now it's all mental.  I'm hoping it all goes quickly and without complications.  I've talked to all my instructors and they are not expecting me back at school until the 11th.  I will be able to take longer if I need to, but I'm hoping to miss as little as possible.  (I only have classes for 3 hours a day, 3 times a week).  With my mom's help, we won't be needing daycare for Isabella until next fall. 

 

  Well, my mind is running in several different directions and I can't think clearly, so I will update when we get home from the hospital!
